El primer censo de las comunidades del cordón fronterizo de la zona norte-norte, se llevó a cabo del 18 al 30 de diciembre del año 2012 y abarcó 21 comunidades del cantón de Upala. La coordinacion estuvo a cargo de Cenderos, y fue ejecutado por los jóvenes de la Red de Jóvenes Migrantes y Transfronterizos, que con su trabajo voluntario y extraordinario, hicieron posible estos resultados que brindrán informacion extraordinaria para las instituciones públicas, y así poder concretar medidas de protección y tutela de los derechos de los pueblos transfronterizos.
El objetivo de esta iniciativa es conocer el estado de la situación de las y los habitantes que viven en los 2 kilómetros inalienables de la frontera.
Fueron censadas 1047 casas con un total de 1109 familias y 4517 personas de las comunidades de Los Ledezma, El Delirio, Hacienda Buenavista, Jomuza, Villa Hermosa, La Victoria, San Ramón, La Colonia, Berlín, La Puebla, Las Pavas, Mexico de Upala, El Manzano, Pataste, Las Delicias, El Carmen de Delicias, La Cruz de Delicias, Nazareth, San Antonio, San Isidro y El Socorro.
Los datos obtenidos se estarán procesando para el análisis requerido por las instituciones involucradas.
Migración publica volantes: Requisitos de las categorías migratorias
El martes 29 de enero la Dirección General de Migración presentó unos volantes donde se asesora paso a paso sobre los requisitos básicos y específicos de las categorías migratorias que se encuentran en el Reglamento de Extranjería.

About Cenderos
Introduction:
Cenderos is a non-governmental organization – non-profit – that was founded by Nicaraguan migrant women, in 1999, within the historical framework of the «Work Training Program», aimed at the population Nicaraguan and that the Universidad Popular de Nicaragua (Uponic) executed in Costa Rica in 1998.
Our organizational strategy has as its north the promotion of human, economic and social rights, citizen participation and the leading leadership of the migrant and cross-border population, as well as the Costa Rican population that shares the same condition of vulnerability.
